Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched Honor 9i (2018) in China last month along with Honor Play device. Some of the rumors and leaks revealed that the same model will launch in India very soon with a different name. Last week, another report says that the device will be named as Honor 9X in India. But Honor India yesterday officially teased a video of new Honor 9N smartphone on Twitter.

Honor India confirmed that Honor 9N will be launched in India on July 24. It is expected to launch Honor Play also on the same day but there is no official confirmation yet.
Honor 9N – Specifications and Features
The Huawei Honor 9N will come with a 5.84-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD 19:9 aspect ratio display, with a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. The Honor 9N will be powered by octa-core 2.36GHz Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology which will give the ultimate gaming experience with power consumption.
In of camera option, the device could feature a dual rear camera of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP of a secondary sensor at the back with LED flash. Whereas, the front could come with a 16MP selfie camera with beautification mode, and Ai-Portrait mode as well for better selfies even in low light condition. The front camera Face Unlock feature as well.
The Honor 9N will feature connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, 4G VoLTE, USB-C port, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack etc. The device will have all the major sensors like Proximity, Rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Gyro, Ambient Light sensor, Com, Magnetometer, Step counter etc. The handset will be packed with a 3,000mAh battery with no fast charging . The Honor 9N will run on EMUI 8.0 out of the box.
The device will measures 149.2 x 71.8 x 7.7mm and weighs 152 grams. The device will be available in Black, Blue, Green, and Purple color.
Expected Price of Honor 9N in India
The Huawei Honor 9N is expected to be priced at around Rs.16,000 in India for the base model. There is no confirmation about any higher variant. If so, the price will be higher than expected. However, this device will compete with Mi Max 3 is also in the list of launching this year as a mid-range budget smartphone.
