Samsung has released a major software update for its newest Galaxy S25 phones (Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra). This follows a similar update for the older Galaxy S24 models.
The update is rolling out now across Europe (other regions likely soon) and promises to make your phone feel faster and smoother than ever before. This update came in early June 2025, but it is still carrying the May 2025 security patch update.
For now, it is only in Europe. The build numbers are:
- S938BXXU3AYE7/S938BOXM3AYE7/S938BXXU3AYE7
What’s new in this update?
Table of Contents
At over 1 GB in size, this update is packed with improvements that Samsung says will make your phone work much better. The company is calling it a “device usability” update, which basically means everything should feel more responsive when you use your phone.
How to install the update?
Go to Settings, then Software update, and choose and install. Make sure your phone has at least 50% charge before you start the process. A low battery can cause the update to stop or fail. Wait until the finishes before you do anything else.

Who Can Try One UI 8 Beta?
The beta is currently available in just four countries: South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and . But don’t worry if you live somewhere else: Samsung plans to expand it to more countries like India, Poland, and Canada soon.
